MEET THE CORE PILATES TEAM
Tash
Owner & Client problem solver
Why will you enjoy my classes / what’s my style?
I teach the Semi-Private Classes at our other Singleton Studio, Core Wellness. These classes are tailored to each client depending on any injuries, health concerns or personal fitness goals. Each session is aimed to be a whole body workout for clients (when possible). Semi-Private classes are also wonderful for Pre/Post natal Women.
What made you get into Pilates and become an instructor?
I always had a sore back from my early 20’s & regularly saw a Chiro to provide some temporary relief. I tried Studio Pilates (on equipment, not mat) and within a week my back was better & I no longer needed a Chiro. Pilates on equipment is the only form of exercise I truly enjoy. I thought surely there are others in town who would also benefit from Pilates, so after my last pregnancy I studied my Diploma in Pilates and opened a studio from home. Within 8 months I had signed a leased for a bigger space-which is where our studio is today. It turns out there are many of you in town that love Pilates too!

Why will you enjoy my classes / what’s my style?
You will definitely feel challenged for a Monday morning. I hope my classes are a great way for you to start your week.
What made you get into Pilates and become an instructor?
I got into Pilates as it was an exercise that I’d practised for most of my life and I wanted something different in reformer classes. I loved Core Pilates and everyone here so I decided I’d give teaching a go as a challenge for myself. I love seeing people grow and progress with their ability to move and strengthen their bodies.

Marney
Group Reformer Instructor
Why will you enjoy my classes / what’s my style?
I hope my passion shines through in the combinations of exercises I choose to challenge your mind and body and inspire you to love Pilates as much as I do. I enjoy incorporating a variety of exercises, including some drawn from my gym background, and a range of props to enhance your experiences. I like to combine classical and contemporary practice to keep interest level high.
What made you get into Pilates and become an instructor?
From my very first Reformer class here at Core Pilates, I was hooked! Despite having taught in the fitness industry in the past, I was astounded at how the focus on creating harmony between body, breath and mind, along with low impact but high intensity movement, is powerfully transformative. I genuinely believe that there is nothing as effective as Reformer classes to safely build strength and improve flexibility, balance, posture and coordination. I hope to change the lives of others as the amazing instructors here changed mine. I want clients to feel the same way I do when I participate in Reformer classes – energised, strong and empowered.

I have a particular passion for women’s health, particularly middle-aged women.
